SILVER FROM MLADA BOLESLAV

On April 20, our football team travelled to Mlada Boleslav for the Coca-Cola Cup regional tour.

In the first match against Rakovnik 3rd Elementary School we were clearly a better team, we forced ourselves to play a big game but at the beginning of the match we did not manage to draw the ball into a goal. However we deserved to win by 4:2 (Vaclav Stovicek hatrick and Petr Strniste). We played the second match against Tynec nad Labem Elementary School team. The players did a very good performance with a 3:0 victory. Tomas Fingerhut scored twice and Vaclav Stovicek once.

The final match was to determine the winner of the tournament and to proceed him to the next round. We did not play a role as a favourite of Mlada Boleslav Footbaal School but we wanted to take an action. The start did not work out for us and we quickly lost 0:2 due to too big respect for our rivals. Then we had nothing to lose, we became more active and managed to reduce the lost to 1:2 by Kamil Zach´s goal. Our rivals were under the pressure and developed additional shooting opportunities. Some of us lacked a bit of luck and the result remained unchanged. The final 2nd place in the region is a great success!

All players deserve a praise for giving the maximum for our team success and congratulations on the placement.

We would like to thank Dominik Snajdr, Petr Strniste, Vojtech Chalupa, Tomas Fingerhut, Kamil Zach, David Makovsky and Vaclav Stovicek who will leave our school in June. We wish them good luck in their next football tournaments!
